About us
Built by caregivers, clinicians, and technologists who believe every family touched by dementia deserves clarity, dignity, and practical support.

Why we built Simon
Simon is a digital platform for caregivers and people living with dementia. Inspired by personal experience, it gives families a shared calendar, daily routines, and expert-led education in one place.
Care is expensive and labour intensive. People with dementia are living longer, and diagnoses are rising every year. Simon acts as a force multiplier: practical guidance for families, and tools that help everyone stay on the same page.
We built Simon because we have been through it ourselves. We know what it feels like to be overwhelmed, under-informed, and unsure what to do next. That is the problem we set out to solve.

Meet the Simon team

Daniel Brown
Founder & CEO
Danny began his career as a community organizer and Peace Corps volunteer. Simon grew out of his experience helping his wife and mother-in-law navigate living alone with dementia. He studied Cognitive Science at Tulane, earned his master's at Oxford, and is a proud Cleveland native and dad to Isaac.

Simon Morgan
Founder & CFO
Simon is a health policy researcher with more than a decade consulting on US healthcare payment and access. He co-founded Simon to help people living with dementia continue doing what they love with the right support around them. Outside of work, he splits his time between hiking trails and city streets.

Rachel Whyte
Founder & Chief Clinical Officer
Rachel is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and emergency department nurse. She first met Danny as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Togo and later joined Simon around their shared vision for better dementia support. She also cared for her grandmother who lived with Alzheimer's.

Mare Ruland
Marketing Coordinator
Mare leads marketing and social media at Simon. A former nurse and memory care activity director, she brings both professional expertise and personal experience to her work, having witnessed both of her grandmothers' journeys with dementia. She is deeply committed to advancing human rights through philanthropy, advocacy, and community service. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her partner, her two teenagers, her dog, Luna, and their many cats.

Jon Hudson
CTO
Jon leads technology at Simon. He joined after his grandmother was diagnosed with dementia in 2015, an experience that shaped how he thinks about care and connection. When he is not keeping things running smoothly, you will likely find him on the golf course or building LEGO cars.
